Shuck off the working wek and head down to the Whitsunday Sailing Club on the afternoon of Friday 30th March to enjoy wine tasting by the sea. And what better combination than the premier New Zealand Oyster Bay wines combined with a few delicious Australian and New Zealand oysters and a squeeze of lemon? Oysters will be served natural or in a mixed trio combination of Natural, Kilpatrick and Japenese style.

Discover the most sought after New Zealand wines in the world. Oyster Bay takes its name from a pristine bay on the coast of Marlborough at the top of NZ's majestic South Island. Try Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sparkling Brut and Sparkling Rose. Oyster Bay wines are renowned for "capturing the pure fruit flavours" of one of the world's great wine-growing regions.

The wine tasting will be available from 2-5pm and then you are invited to stay on and enjoy live entertainment from New Zealander Krissie Knap from 6-10pm. With over 20 years experience of working with bands and as a successful solo artist, Krissie recently crossed the ditch from Rotorua and is now performing in the Whitsundays.

WSC manager, Ange Rae says, "we are excited to be trying soomething a bit different and offering fantastic fresh Australian oysters with a brilliant NZ wine. We hope if this is successful we can introduce more events like this for our members and visitors to enjoy"
